Haircare

Your hair is your personal investment. Just like any other luxury purchase it should be protected and cared for. The maintenance of your (natural) hair is very important and your responsibility. The quality of care you put into your hair will have an effect on the longevity of it.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

Always wash your extensions before you wear/install them. And be gentle while doing so! Clean and freshly washed hair is easier to style and maintain. Since the hair is raw and has no silicone layer you'll be getting hair in the purest form. Detangle the hair before washing and (always) wash the hair with products without alcohol, paraben and sulphate.

Since the hair has been cut from one person's head, the constant supply of its nutrients (i.e. proteins, vitamins, iron, etc.) has been cut off. This means your hair extensions won't receive these nutrients naturally, which is why you have to maintain it. If you have cut, damaged or bleached your hair and are not satisfied with the outcome, please note that we are not responsible for your actions and are not able to offer an exchange or a refund.

You can of course always send us a question regarding your hair, its care and possible modifications you would like to add to them. We will then do our best to help and offer our advice and expertise!

AVOID

  • Usage of hard shampoos containing alcohol, parabens and sulphate

  • Washing or boiling hair with hot/boiling water

  • Harsh scrubbing of hair

  • Usage of excessive heat on hair

  • Over-bleaching hair

  • Pulling and tugging of hair

  • Using the wrong hair tools i.e. unsuitable brushes for detangling

Doing any of the above will result into the drying out of your hair, cause breakage, split ends and a possible "hair death".

MONSUKĪ RECOMMENDS

  • Wash hair with cold to lukewarm water and never scrub hair/lace against itself

  • Air dry hair whenever you can

  • Blow dry hair on low temperature - always!

  • Trim hair occasionally to avoid split ends

  • Seal your wefts

  • Spritz hair with water/leave-in conditioner mix (for curly hair)

If you are planning on bleaching/coloring your hair, we advise you to get that done by a professional hairdresser or -colorist. We recommend our in-house colorist Cycy Dyed It.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS

  •  Heat protectants (i.e. oils or spray)

  • Wide tooth comb

  • Denman brush (for curly hair)

  • Hair bonnet/silk scarf
